With the combination of Thermography and Airborne Ultrasonics technologies, steam trap inspections can easily be done to locate faulty traps.
The above two video clips are of this Combination or IR and UT working in a simultaneous manner.
By using these "Sight" and "Sound" technologies together at once, you get a better picture of how each steam trap is operating.
Video clip #1 is of a good disc type steam trap and video clip #2 is of a faulty disc type steam trap that has failed in the Open Position.
